The tuition and fees for the 2023-2024 academic year are as follows:

English Foundation course – 468 750 KZT (per level)
One 2 credits course – 224 260 KZT
One 3 credits course – 336 390 KZT
Student fee – 7 820 KZT
Annual medical checkup – 4 500 KZT
Library fee – 51 010 KZT

On average, a student takes 10 to 13 courses per year. The maximum possible number of courses to study
during one academic year (including the summer semester) is 17.

The payment needs to be done before the start of the registration period. The defined sum should be put into
the personal account of the student (ID: 2023xxxx) each semester.

The payment can be made either 1/3 of the total amount or for one semester or for an academic year. The left
over money is transferred for the next semester/academic year.

Also, the payment can be done for the entire period of study (4 years). For this option, the tuition fee is
fixed and should be calculated based on the prices for the 2023-2024 academic year.

You have to deposit 51 010 KZT in the student’s personal account to use the textbooks. After graduating from
the KIMEP University, the deposit is subject to reimbursement. (Keep the payment receipts!)

In case you have any difficulty with the registration process, please refer to the Student Learning Support

A transfer between programs is possible upon student’s own will and can be
done during the registration period after the completion of one full semester. The final decision upon the
transfer is made by the receiving department. If a student wants to transfer to the Bang College of
Business, the Math course should be graded not less than “C” and GPA should be not less than 2.67.

Foundation is an intensive English language course, the level of which is
determined according to the result of the KIMEP English Entrance Test (KEPT). The scale for Foundation
levels is the following:Level A – 51-79
Level B – 30-50

about the certificates please refer to the Admission Office.

Credit is a number of academic (lecture) hours per week:
1 credit – 50 minutes
2 credits – 100 minutes
3 credits – 150 minutes

GPA is an abbreviation for “grade point average,” which is typically calculated by adding all the numbered
grades a student received and dividing them by the number of credits taken by the student. The highest GPA
is equal to 4.33. Students with GPA below 2.1 are identified as “at risk of academic failure”.

The Exchange Program provides students with a unique opportunity to study abroad. The main criteria for
students’ selection are the high level of academic performance and 30 credits earned. For more
